ABOUT | Our People
Partners & Affiliates.
We have diverse connections with organisations working with us to fulfil our work to centre tenants in housing research, policy and practice.

Government and Policy
We work closely with the Department for Levelling-up, Housing and Communities (DLuHC), the Regulator of Social Housing, the Housing Ombudsman Service, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) (home of the Building Safety Regulator (BSR)), and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
You can see our portfolio of engagement and how we <influence policy> for the benefit of tenants and residents of the regulated housing sector.
Research
We work closely with several universities and independent research organisations whose research will likely benefit tenants and residents. We are leading the way with our partnership with the University of Birmingham, exploring how theories of emotions and relationships can inform housing policy, practice and professional standards.
Our values mean we will only endorse independent and high-quality research. You can be assured that if we are involved, the research meets our values and ethical standards. We will not endorse sales pitches framed as research.
Find out more about our research partners and how we work together in our ‘What we do <Research> page.
Practice
We understand that the work of regulated housing is difficult. There are many pressures that have accumulated over the years to make operating to the core social purpose of providing safe, secure and decent properties that can be made into stable homes increasingly difficult. We work with landlords who share our values and want to deliver high-quality services to tenants.
Our independence and evidence-led approach means you know when you commission us for training and consultancy work that you are getting an independent perspective, informed by the most recent shifts in government policy and the cutting edge of independent research. This will always be underpinned by our values and dedication to ethical practice
You can find out about our <services> work and <contact> us if you would like to discuss commissioned work.
Campaigns
Changing housing policy and practice to work for tenants and residents is complicated. This is why we support campaigns that align with our values and give them a platform through our #WednesdayWebinars to reach a diverse audience of policymakers, tenants and practitioners.
We are transparent about what change we campaign for and you can read our <manifesto> in full. We support campaigns that align with our values such as the Stop Social Housing Stigma Campaign Group. We endorse the work of the End Furniture Poverty campaign and their guidance for regulated landlords on the social value of, and how to furnish properties so that tenants can make them a home.
You can read reports from campaigns we endorse on the <partner reports and resources page> and watch <#WednesdayWebinars> here.
Supporters
To maintain our independence, we value core funding and donations. We thank the Fusion 21 Foundation [add link to Fusion 21 website] for funding that has allowed us to advocate for tenants and residents and develop relationships with leading research institutions and innovators.
To contribute to our core costs, you can <donate> to us. We value one-off donations and regular monthly direct debits. Such income allows us to focus on our research and tenant advocacy work. Commissioning our <training and consultancy> work also contributes to funding our tenant-centred campaigning work.
